Highlight of our visit
to the Parana State
of Brazil.
The breathtaking Iguazu Falls on the border of Brazil and Argentina.
(poor Niagara Falls).
Technically interesting was the largest hydro-electric powerplant between Brazil and Paraquay.
Finally Rio de Janeiro with her famous beaches and the wonders of a bay.

Rio de Janeiro
is wellknown for her
worldfamous Copacabana Beach.
Her residents love the sun and on a
Sunday the beaches are crowded.
Like the traffic which is always a chaos. |

Our city roundtrip |
|
| Open
arms to the world. |
With a rack railway through the Tijuca Forest National
Park with wonderful tropical forest landscapes to the Corcovado Peak, 2100 feet (700 m) high. An
elevator brings you to the viewing-platform around the statue of Christ, the redeemer. |
 |
The
statue of Christ was first conceived in 1921.
The first sketches of the statue were designed by the artist Carlos Oswaldo, who pictured Christ
carrying a cross, holding a globe in his hands, while standing over a pedestal symbolizing the
world.
Although, Rio’s population preferred the statue as it is known worldwide today, with its arms
open, embracing
all the people. The statue of Christ the Redeemer pays homage to Rio’s religiosity, and has become
a symbol of the City and of its people, receiving all visitors with its arms wide open.
Since 2007 is it one of the Worldwonders.

Once on top you'll enjoy wonderful panoramic views of parts of Rio. The distance between Urca Hill
and Sugar Loaf is 2300 feet (750 m).
